Description of domain/function:

Network Domain organization consists of 5 technical domains covering Radio Access Networks, Transport and Transmission, Core and Control, Managed Services and Passive Infrastructure. Our sourcing projects are targeting to optimize three main streams : economic efficiency, technical effectiveness and sustainability - using a digital toolset.

In Passive Infrastructure, our team covers a large range of hardware equipment: Antenna Line Devices (Passive Antennas, RF Devices, active DAS, Repeaters…), Fiber Optical Cables for FTTH deployment and backbone networks, all Optical Accessories linked to these environments, Energy hardware to enable active equipment on fix and mobiles sites (e.g. Batteries, DC Power Cabinets, UPS, Solar panels) and related additional material for fix and mobile infrastructure (Manholes, Ducts, Poles, Pylons, etc.).

Each Senior Strategic Sourcer is managing several of these categories with the goal to identify possible suppliers answering to technical needs and to address them with RfI and RfP processes.

As part of a community of sourcers, teamwork and respectful mindset are key success factors to ensure good collaboration with our stakeholders and internal teams supporting our daily work (Legal, Digital team, etc.).

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As Senior Strategic Sourcer, you will be in charge of one or several dedicated categories within the Passive Infrastructure scope addressing a spend of >100m€ p.a.:

• Identify procurement actions in dedicated categories based on demands coming from countries, new technical needs, change in volumes, market disruptions.
• Elaborate as project leader and execute procurement strategy following Buyin’s rules and dedicated milestones supported by our digital toolset.
• Independently manage the procurement process to negotiate best in class solutions until contract negotiation and signature, whilst achieving targets on savings and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor suppliers in your portfolio to follow up on portfolio updates, enhance contractual terms (Sustainability, GDPR, …) and proactively manage potential risks (Transport risks, disruption on raw materials, …).
• Support procurement counterparts in the countries in implementing contracts and providing ad hoc support for local specific needs. Ensure right level of communication with them, leveraging digital tools as well as personal interactions.
• Take active part in transversal actions to foster and enhance usage of digital tools.

YOUR PROFILE

Holding a Master degree in the area of Procurement, Business Administration, Business Information Technology or a qualification of the same level, you have at least 7 years’ experience in procurement in an industrial context (ideally, but not mandatory in the telecommunications industry).

You also possess the following skills and experience:

• Interest in telecommunication and network related hardware and strong ability to quickly onboard on technical and business / controlling areas.
• Intercultural and international background with team player attitude.
• Ability to manage multi-million Euro projects. Strong analytical and conceptual capabilities.
• Ability and high engagement to translate concepts into execution. Project management skills - meeting targets, ensuring quality standards are met and project planning is kept on track.
• Fluency in English and French, German is a plus.
